Wrestling Club

 

The Topeka Blue Thunder Wrestling Club is organized for Washburn Rural and Topeka area youth wrestlers to promote the sport of wrestling. Club registration is $100, which includes a USA Wrestling Card and a wrestling singlet. Birth certificates will be required for club participation. Information meeting will be Tuesday night, November 18th at 6:00pm at the high school wrestling room

 

Club Fees for 2008-2009 Season

 

Club Fee: $40

USA Card: $30

          Singlet: $45          

Total: $115

 

Practices:

 

Location: Washburn Rural High School Wrestling Room

Open and Novice Practice: Tues/Thurs – 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Practice Start Date:  November 20, 2008

 

Wrestling practice will be closed door to parents except for the last 15 minutes of practice.

 

Tournaments:

 

Cost: $10.00 - $12.00 per tournament (in addition to club fees)

Open Tournaments: Every Saturday starting in December and ending in April.

Novice Tournaments: Every Sunday starting in January and ending in February.

Locations: Tournaments are typically held within an hour driving distance with some local tournaments.

Times: Tournament weigh-ins are typically held from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. with wrestling starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.

 

Registration: We will have a contact person to register for the upcoming tournaments. Registrations along with the tournament fees must be paid two weeks prior to the tournament date.
