FOOTBALL:  Varsity games will be played at Hummer Sports Park.  Sub-varsity games will be played on the campus of Topeka West High School, 2001 Fairlawn.

 

CROSS COUNTRY:  Cross Country will be run on the Stateland Course on the former State Hospital Gounds, 200 Oakley.

 

GOLF (GIRLS & BOYS):  Matches could be held at several courses.

                                                                                Topeka Country Club -- 2700 SW Buchanan

                                                                                Topeka Public -- 2533 SW Urish Rd.

TENNIS (GIRLS & BOYS):  Varsity matches and sub-varsity tournaments will usually be played at the Kossover Tennis Courts on the grounds of Felker Park.  Sub-varsity matches will be played at Topeka West.

 

SOCCER (GIRLS & BOYS):  Soccer games are played at Hummer Sports Park unless otherwise specified.

 

VOLLEYBALL:  Volleyball games are played on the Topeka West campus.

 

BASKETBALL (GIRLS & BOYS):  Varsity basketball games are played on the Topeka West campus, but sub-varsity games are occasionally played at French, Landon, or Jardine Middle Schools.

 

WRESTLING:  Matches will be held at Topeka West.

 

SWIMMING (GIRLS & BOYS):  Swimming and diving meets will be held at Hummer Sports Park in the Capitol Federal Natatorium.

 

TRACK (GIRLS & BOYS):  Meets may be held at Topeka West, Highland Park, or Hummer Sports Park.  Sub-varsity meets will be held at Topeka West.

 

BASEBALL:   Varsity games will be played at Hummer Sports Park.  Sub-varsity games may be played at Hummer Sports Park or McDonald Field.

 

SOFTBALL:  Varsity games will be played at Hummer Sports Park.  Sub-varsity games may be played at Hummer Sports Park or at Dornwood Park, 2815 SE 25th.

 

DIRECTIONS TO VENUES

 

TOPEKA WEST:  2001 Fairlawn.  From the west -- Take I-70 to I-470, turn south on I-470 and exit the 21st St. exit going east.  Two blocks going east will take you to Belle. Turn north and go about a block to the TW parking lot entrance.  Belle is the street between a large Dillon's store and Topeka West.               

                From the south -- Take the Turnpike or Highway 75 to I-470 and go west to the 21st St. exit, then east to Belle, then north to the parking lot entrance.

                From the east -- You may take the Turnpike to the South Topeka (I-470) exit, then follow the "from the south" directions; or you may exit the Turnpike to the Denver (I-70) exit and go west through town to the I-470 exit, then follow the "from the west" directions.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then west to Fairlawn, then south to 21st, then west to Belle, then north to the parking lot.

 

HUMMER SPORTS PARK:  From the west, exit off of I-70 at the Gage Boulevard exit.  Turn right onto Gage.  Turn left onto 6th Street (first stop light).  Team busses for soccer and football, and soccer spectators should turn left onto Oakley and enter the parking lot that is beside the soccer stadium.  Spectators for football should turn left onto Center Drive and park in the main parking lot beside the football stadium. From the east, exit off of I-70 at the Macvicar Ave exit.  Turn left onto Macvicar.  Turn right onto 6th Street.  Spectators for football  turn right on Center Drive, and team busses turn right onto Oakley.  Team busses and spectators for swimming should turn right off of Center Drive into the natatorium parking lot.  Busses and spectators for baseball and softball continue on Center Drive and park in the main lot between the baseball and softball diamonds.

 

FRENCH MIDDLE SCHOOL:  5257 West 33rd.  From the west -- Take I-70 to I-470, turn south on I-470 and exit on 29th Street.  Go east on 29th to Fairlawn, then south to 33rd.

                From the south or the east -- Take the Turnpike to the South Topeka exit, then take west I-470 to the Fairlawn exit, then south to 33rd.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then west to Fairlawn, then south to 33rd.

 

LANDON MIDDLE SCHOOL:  731 SW Fairlawn.  From the west or east -- Take I-70 to the Fairlawn exit, then go south two blocks to 731 Fairlawn.

                From the south -- Take the Turnpike to the South Topeka exit, then go west on I-470 to the Fairlawn exit, then north to 731 Fairlawn.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then west to Fairlawn, then south to 731.

 

JARDINE MIDDLE SCHOOL:  2600 West 33rd.  From the west -- Take I-70 to I-470, turn south on I-470 and exit on 21st.  Go east on 29th to Randolph, then turn south to 33rd.

                From the south and east -- Take the Turnpike to the South Topeka exit, then go west on I-470 to the Burlingame exit, then north to 29th, east to Randolph, and south to 33rd.

                From the north -- Exit Highway 75 at Gage and continue south  to 29th, then go left to Randolph, then south to 33rd.

 

STATELAND CROSS COUNTRY COURSE:  2nd & Oakley.   From the west and east, Exit I-70 on Macvicar, go south to 6th, west to Oakley, then north to the course.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then east to Macvicar, then south  to 6th, then west to Oakley, then north about half a mile to the course.

                From the south -- Take old Highway 75 (Topeka Ave.) to 6th St., then west to Oakley, then north about half a mile to the course.

                 

FELKER PARK:  2540 SW Gage.  From the west -- Take I-70 to the I-470 exit, then south to 21st, then east to Gage.  At Gage, turn south to 2540.  This parking lot serves the Kossover Tennis Complex.

                From the south or east-- From the South Topeka Turnpike exchange, take I-470 west to Gage, then north to 2540 Gage.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then east to Gage, then south to 2540.

               

McDONALD FIELD:  27th & Plass.  From the west -- Take I-70 to the I-470 exit, then south to 21st, then east to Macvicar, then south to 27th, east to Plass, then south to the diamond.

                From the south -- From the South Topeka exchange, go west on I-470 to Gage, then north to 21st, then east to Macvicar, then south to 27th, east to Plass, then south to the diamond.

                From the east -- Take I-70 to the Macvicar exit, then south to 27th, east to Plass, then south to the diamond.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then east to Macvicar, then south to 27th, east to Plass, then south to the diamond.

 

BILLARD PARK:  801 NE Poplar.  From the west or east -- Take I-70 to Topeka Ave., then north across the River to Morse, then east across the Sardou Bridge to the Oakland Community Center.  The diamonds are locasted to the north and west of this building.

                From the south -- From the South Topeka Turnpike exchange, go east to Topeka Ave.  Travel north on Topeka Ave. to Morse, then follow the "from the west" instructions.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to Highway 24, then east to Topeka Ave., then south to Morse, then east across the Sardou Bridge to the Oakland Community Center.

 

DORNWOOD PARK:  2815 SE 25th.  From the west, south, east, or north -- Follow the instructions for going to Highland Park, but turn east on 25th street.  It will dead end at Dornwood Park.

 

LAKE SHAWNEE GOLF COURSE:  4141 East Edge Rd.  From the west, south, or east -- Take the turnpike to the South Topeka exchange, then east to Highway 75, then south to 45th St., then east to East Edge Rd., then north to 4141.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then east to California, then south to 45th St., then east to East Edge Rd., then north to 4141.

 

SHAWNEE COUNTRY CLUB:  913 SE 29th.  From the west -- Take I-70 to I-470, then south to 29th, then east to 913 SE 29th.

                From the south or east -- From the South Topeka exit, go east to Topeka Avenue, then north to 29th, then east to 913 SE 29th.

                From the north -- Take Highway 75 to I-70, then east to California, south to 29th, then west to 913 SE 29th.

 

TOPEKA COUNTRY CLUB:  2700 SW Buchanan. From the west --  From I-70, take I-470  south to 29th, then east to Burlingame (Burlingame becomes Washburn at 29th), then north to 27th (road that goes past KSHSAA building), then east to Buchanan.

                From the south -- Go north on Highway 75 (Topeka Ave.) to 27th, then west to Buchanan.

                From the east -- Go to the South Topeka exchange, then east to Topeka Ave., then north to 27th, then west to Buchanan.

                From the north -- Come down Highway 75, then east on I-70 to Topeka Ave., then south to 27th, then west to Buchanan.

 

TOPEKA PUBLIC:  2533 SW Urish Rd.  From the west -- From I-70, take the I-470 exit south to 21st St., then go west a mile and a half to Urish Rd., then south half a mile to the course.

                From the south or east -- From the South Topeka Turnpike exchange, take I-40 west to 21st, then west to Urish, then south half a mile to the course.

                From the north -- From Highway 75, take I-70 west to the Wanamaker exit, then go south on Wanamaker to 21st, then west to Urish, then south to the course.

 

WESTERN HILLS GOLF COURSE:  8533 SW 21st.  From the west -- Exit I-70 at Auburn Rd., then go south to 21st, then west to 8533.

                From the south or east -- Follow the same instructions as for Topeka Public, but continue on 21st to 8533.

                From the north -- From Highway 75, take I-70 west to the Auburn Rd. exit, then south to 21st, then west to 8533.
