SENIOR PORTRAITS

In order to be pictured in the yearbook, 2009 senior portraits are due on

December 5, 2008 in Room 215 (Journalism).

We would suggest scheduling your photo shoot with a photographer before school

starts, so you will have plenty of time to select and order your photos before the deadline.

We would prefer your image be sent electronically. Please send the file in JPEG format and name it with the student’s first and last name. Please send your file to: luetjjen@usd437.net

If you would like to submit your portrait as a print, please follow these guidelines:

Journalism will need two copies of the same vertical portrait (wallet size, please).

We ask for two copies because we send one to Jostens, and we hold onto one in case

Jostens loses the first one (believe me, it’s happened).

…just a little advice:

We recommend that you select a senior portrait that is a vertical “head & shoulders” shot

for the yearbook. It is much easier to really see the student because the “head & shoulder”

shot is literally just their head and shoulders!

Full-body shots are great to trade with friends, but if you put that type of photo in the

yearbook, your friends won’t be able to see you, because you are too far away.

Don’t forget that we only accept vertical portraits for the senior color pages.

Please be sure to select a photo that is school-appropriate and follows the WRHS student

dress code policy.

Finally, many local photographers offer to send your senior portrait to the high school.

Please make sure that they do this before the deadline! We have had problems receiving

some photos in the past, so please double-check with the photographer to make sure they

have sent the correct photo and that it’s on time.

Please note: We will post a list of all the seniors who HAVE turned in portraits after

December 5^th. This list will be posted outside the Counseling Office and announcements

will be made. Seniors are responsible for checking that list to make sure portraits have been

delivered and received by the yearbook staff. We cannot be responsible if your photographer

does not mail your photo, so please double-check!
