Course Requirements:

  1. Tests and Quizzes – worth 75% of your grade.  Tests may include, but are not limited to, multiple choice, matching, essay, fill in the blank and short answer/identification.
  2. Projects – worth 10% of your grade.  Students will receive a detailed description of projects throughout the year.
  3. Homework – worth 15% of your grade.  The student is expected to participate in daily activities and hand in all assigned homework.  Homework is designed to be essential and effective preparation for tests.

 

Classroom Policies:

Tardies:  Please be ready to go when the bell rings.  Stay in your seat until the bell rings.  After you have been tardy too many times, then a 3 hour detention will be assigned.  Please see the school policy in the student handbook on page 20 for further information on tardies.

 

Materials:  Bring your textbook, notebook, pencil or pen, paper and any other required and appropriate materials daily.

 

Communication:  Please give a respectful response and carry out reasonable requests.  When listening or speaking with others, please by considerate and respectful of their opinions. 

 

Assignments:  These are due at the beginning of the class period unless otherwise instructed.  If an assignment is not turned in when called for, it is considered late…even if it is turned in later in the hour.  Late assignments count for no credit. 

 

Make-up/Re-take policy:  All students will complete and hand in homework/projects on time.   See page 15 in the student handbook for further information regarding make-up work.  Re-takes are not given in this class.
