· Graphics/Printing Technology- The Graphics/Printing Technology program provides background fundamentals to many graphics occupations, both in laboratory experiences and related study. Shop experience includes the following: composition, electronic / desktop publishing, computer art, layout and design, darkroom procedures, use and operation of photographic equipment as related to printing, negative insertion (stripping), plate-making, offset press operation and bindery operations. Related theory and technical study include the areas of printing materials, production, equipment and introduction to digital printing. Keyboarding skills are recommended but not required. 1080 Hours. 11, 12, Adult. · Photo Technology- The core of the Photo Technology program includes instruction and lab application in theory, camera work, photo materials, printing, print finishing, lighting, workplace skills and academics that are used in all aspects of photo industry employment. Analytical problem solving and image tonal control are emphasized as themes throughout the course. The individual units of instruction are grouped into a required core course of study and two advanced training area options: advanced photography and videography. Computer imaging is scheduled as a future third advanced level option. Applied learning strategies in an individualized learning system is the mode of instruction. Current articulation agreements require successful completion of the core course of study and at least one advanced level option for college credit transfer. 1080 Hours. 11, 12. Adult. |
